It’s the weekend!

It's the weekend! Number 74, Autumn Roses in My Neighborhood

We’re having an early Diwali celebration with our friends tonight.  We’re also spending time this weekend with my sister and brother-in-law, who are visiting from the West coast.

I hope that you are doing something special this weekend.

  • Today Matthew Shepard reached his final resting place and a celebration of his life was held for him at the Washington Cathedral.
  • Guys can wear their support for breast cancer awareness, with this Vineyard Vines Tee Shirt. Or maybe they would prefer this tie.
Thirty percent of the proceeds are donated to Bright Pink, a non-profit organization focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women.
  • We’re making progress recognizing transgender people in our community. Let’s not do this.
  • The nurses I know are concerned with providing the best care that they can to their patients and they are proponents of Question 1 (here in MA). I think that voting yes will help nurses do their jobs and take care of us.
  • Can you identify these 12 fabric patterns?
  • Food52 just debuted their new cutting board. They interviewed thousands of home cooks and added lots of creative details to this beautiful new board.
  • Try this special sauce to add some new flavors to your favorite foods.
  • Goodness: Young people across the country are trying to inspire others to vote.
