For the time being, everyone is forsaking skinny jeans and tight buttoned waistbands and embracing sweatpants and leggings. We’ll take anything that is soft and comfortable and has (gasp) elastic waistbands.
I’m mostly blogging about cooking these days, but I thought that I’d do a post about some of the very comfortable pants available right now.
Outdoor Voices CloudKnit Sweatpants
I purchased a second pair of these sweatpants for my long walks (I’m wearing them in the top photo). I’d been wearing my other pair so much that I wanted a backup pair to get me through to laundry day. I’m walking almost every day and these are such comfortable exercise pants. Also, they’re great for hanging out in.
These sweatpants are lightweight and super soft. They are loose, giving me freedom to move. Reviewers say that they are very durable. There are several color options.

These ribbed pants look so comfortable and are on my wish list! I like the wide legs and the pockets. They have an elastic waistband too.
These pants look super comfortable to lounge around in and would look great to wear out (when going out is possible). They also come in ecru.
Italic’s Cashmere Jogger Pants
These cashmere jogger pants from Italic look like something I would never want to take off and I’ve ordered a pair in gray. I’m imagining hanging out on Sunday morning in these pants. When it gets too hot, pack them up and pull them out in the fall. It will be something to look forward to when the weather gets cold again.
These sweatpants have matching hoodies. The pants and hoodies come in other colors.
If cashmere isn’t your thing, they have recycled terry sweatpants and hoodies. They also have recycled terry shorts, which will come in handy when it gets hot.

Everlane’s Easy Straight Leg Chino
Everlane just came out with these easy straight leg chinos and I want a pair! They look so comfy.
I like the pull-on waistband and the pockets. Made from a lightweight cotton twill, they look like they will work for late spring, summer and early fall. They come in several colors.
Summer is just around the corner, so these easy chino shorts might be just the thing. Same waistband and pockets as the pant version.
