With summer just around the corner, it’s time to pull out our straw bags. Now that I have seen the straw bags on offer this spring, I think that I need a new one. What about you? Use last year’s bag for shopping at the farmer’s market and get a new one for the beach or to use for your summer handbag.

There are a lot of woven bags available this season. Some are straw, some are paper and some are made of other natural materials. Here are some of my favorites.

Amalfi Straw Crochet Purse

This Amalfi Straw Crochet Purse from Joules is adorable with its big blue polka dots. It has a beautiful red and white striped lining.

Pompom Beach Bag

Pom poms and stripes! What’s not to love in this beautiful beach bag from Boden? The lining is striped and has a zipped pocket.

Stripe Woven Cornhusk Tote

I like the pretty blue stripes and the navy lining of this bag from Nordstrom. The lining has a zipped pocket and a drawstring closure, which will keep everything from falling out.

Straw Market Tote

I like the sturdy leather handles and classic look of this tote from J. Crew. This is made from “paper straw.”

 

Round Handle Straw Tote Bag

This brightly colored hand-held bag, available from Target, would brighten any shopping trip.

Update: It looks like that tote sold out. You might like this round-handled straw tote, which you can decorate with a silk scarf tied around a handle.

Round Shopper Straw Tote Handbag

You’ll be sporting the latest fashion trend with this round straw tote. I am seeing a lot of round woven handbags right now. There’s a zipped pocket in the lining.
