I’m posting early today, because tonight we’re flying to California for vacation. I am looking forward to warm weather, new museums, seeing family and friends and best of all, spending quality time with my husband and son.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend to begin November.
- It’s time to vote!
- The Dodgers did this! So gracious.
- Dolester Miles won the Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Pastry Chef award. Let’s try one of her recipes! I want to fly to Alabama for a slice of her coconut pecan cake.
- I liked this little story from our good friend Harriette Poole Otteson’s recent obituary:
Her father, very superstitious about starting a project on Friday, was asked by his daughter, who was born on a Friday, how he felt about that, to which he replied, “That project probably didn’t start on a Friday.” - I need some more Tiny Love Stories. What about you?
- We’re running out of sand. It’s more important than I realized.
- A Year of Magical Thanking. Let’s write more thank you notes!
- Try a Autumn Spritz cocktail this weekend. I think that you’ll like it as much as I do.
- Goodness: Arlington High School students create a Vote sculpture and register students to vote.
“Vote for us because we can’t.”
