We’re getting more snow and cold weather. Seriously! It’s okay, because I’m making Julia’s Boeuf Bourguignon and it is great cold weather food. I really need to exercise this weekend, because, Boeuf Bourguignon.
Here’s a little something from Maya Angelou, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away.”
I hope that this weekend you have a moment that takes your breath away.
- When I was in high school my spring breaks involved bicycling and hanging out with friends. You too? Here’s what a group of Wisconsin students did on their spring break this year.
Katie Eder, the 18-year-old organizer of the Wisconsin march, said about their spring break, “We’re trying to change the laws. We’re trying to change the country. The beach can wait.” - What an incredible story of courage.
- Head to New York for a different spin on your after-dinner prophecies.
- Not only are florals big in clothes this year, they are big in decorating. Chintz is making a comeback! (Lots of fun facts about chintz in this article.)
- Cute Tee-Shirt.
- Speaking of cute. These handbags.
- Can browned butter ever be a bad thing? This Browned Butter Carrot Loaf Cake from Joy the Baker looks so good!
- Goodness: The Guardian asked 9 students from King’s former school to recite I Have a Dream. Thank you to The Guardian, the students and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
About the photo: A beautiful place to sit and enjoy the spring flowers in downtown Greenville, S. C. (It was actually unseasonably cold and the last thing that we wanted to do was sit on that bench.)
