We’re headed to Martha’s Vineyard tomorrow and hoping for decent weather, so that we can get some yard work done and take long walks. We’re working out there next week and will have two weekends on our much loved island.
I hope that you have a lovely outdoor weekend. Hopefully you’ll hear the trill of red-wing blackbirds or the cries of hawks flying overhead.
Usually at this time of year, I am making lots of spring recipes, but not this year. It has been so cold, I’m still making stews, casseroles and soup.
We’ve been wearing our winter coats and hats for our midday walks. Every time we fold laundry and try to match socks, I dream of retiring my socks for the season and being able to wiggle my toes in the fresh air.
