We’re making the most of summer and playing croquet in the backyard tonight! We’ll sip Aperol spritzes and grill our dinner. Yum!

With the arrival of August, the high pressure system has arrived on the island. The fireflies have departed and the crickets now provide the evening’s entertainment. The stars, which we barely saw during muggy July, are now on full display — the white swath of the Milky Way across the sky. I’m never in a hurry to say goodbye to July, but August is mighty glorious.
