It’s the weekend!

Tom and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend. We’re on the island where the wedding happened and so happy to be here together.

Last weekend, while taking an outdoor shower after a lovely beach day, a robin perched on the tip of a spruce tree in our yard. The late afternoon sun set his red breast ablaze and, although I knew it was a robin, I had to tell myself it wasn’t the most brilliant oriole I’d ever seen. The bird flew off and I thought the show was over. Then, three robins flew across the sky and the sun lit their bellies in the same way. Two glorious displays in one night is quite a gift!
