We will be celebrating our son’s birthday over Zoom this weekend. It’s a special birthday and I have been thinking of Louis all week. I miss him and love him so much. We are also going to celebrate Louis’s girlfriend’s graduation from her Masters program. We are in awe of Julia’s artistic talents and know that she is going to be a fantastic teacher!
Have a wonderful weekend. Stay well.
I wish that I’d taken one of those community education classes on foraging. That would be so handy right now. I’ve been dreaming of ramps, which is very specific (and ridiculously frivolous). But, garlic has gone wild in my garden, so I will harvest that and pretend it is ramps.
On our regular weekend routine, we walked a lot and tackled a new, very large hill. Perhaps we will mount it again this weekend.
On the sourdough front… Last weekend’s sourdough biscuits made the most delicious strawberry shortcake I have had in years. We loved every bite. It tasted like the strawberry shortcake of my childhood. I’m hoping that the remaining strawberries will hold out until this weekend and that we’ll have a repeat dessert performance.
