Looking forward to another weekend on Martha’s Vineyard with little to do, but hit the beach.
I hope that you have marvelous summer activities on your weekend agenda.
- This Cochinita Pibil from Honestly Yum looks amazing!
- These dusty rose suede bow loafer slides from Ann Taylor would look great with pants. They’d also look great with simple skirts or dresses.
(You may not be surprised that I like these shoes, as I recently confessed to my love of pink in this post about my dusty rose pleated skirt.) - In the throes of summer, I’m enjoying this gardening set.
My sister-in-law could not believe that I asked for the set for Christmas last year (because of the “girly colors”), but I’ve been a huge fan of Opinel ever since we discovered the knife company in a small French village, where lots of people carry their folding Opinels in their pockets. Also, I’m totally on board with embracing my girly self. At my age you get to proudly flaunt your love of pink (in fact, at any age AFAIC). I want a second pink folding Opinel to carry around in my pocketbook, so that I can be really bad ass and pull it out when a knife is needed, but I’m afraid that I would forget I had it and TSA would confiscate it on my next trip. - There is so much talk about the Internet of Things. I wanted a little clarity on IoT and did some digging. Here are some interesting publications (opinions certainly vary on the benefits or problems related to IoT).
- Forbes – A Simple Explanation of ‘The Internet of Things’
- The Guardian – Rise of the machines: who is ‘the internet of things’ good for?
- New York Times – The Internet of Things video, featuring David Rose, author of “Enchanted Objects.”
- Bob Hirschfeld – Satire on the Internet of Things video (to lighten things up a bit).
