I’m looking forward to slowing down this weekend, with time at the beach and lazy evenings in the backyard.
I hope that you have a relaxing weekend too.
It was a hot week for hard work. We completed several outside jobs (long sleeves, socks over sweat pants, hats, and gloves to keep away the ticks) and more jobs inside (thankfully in lighter attire). Looking over our yard and his parents’ house, we feel tremendous pride in what we’ve accomplished. There’s something very satisfying about still being able to do the work. And, something very delicious about gulps of ice-cold water on a hot day!
Next week will be busy too. We’ll head off the island for doctor appointments, dinner with family members, and work at home. All the more reason to take a break and head to the beach this weekend.
I probably won’t post next week. I hope that you have a good week, with time to enjoy the summer weather.
Here are a few things that I have to share this weekend.
