The weather looks great for the weekend and we are heading to the beach. I hope to get a few chores done, but weather like this is in short supply and I’m going to make the most of it. I’m thinking rosé in the backyard in the evenings.

I’m on my favorite island for this first weekend of August. I’m looking forward to dinner out with friends, a trip to the Farmer’s Market, grilling in the backyard and a batch of pesto using my home-grown basil. In other words, summer bliss.
