We’re ramping up for a very busy weekend, with friends coming for our annual holiday dinner party, family coming for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day in CT with my husband’s family. We’ll be cooking and eating, and cooking and eating. Whew!
I hope that you have a joyous holiday.
- Enjoy winter solstice and the cold full moon tonight.
- How To Take Up Space With Your Winter Clothes — They’ll know that you have arrived.
- The Viral Words You Need to Know — Or you can skip this link, not be part of that “narrative” and experience the “JOMO.”
- Loved Google’s Paul Klee doodle this week.
- I’m interested in Amy Tan’s favorite 10 books.
- Sweet Home Café Cookbook — This cookbook is full of great recipes (if you still need a gift for someone who loves to cook). Here are some recipes that I want to make:
- Pea Tendril Salad
- Sweet Potato Biscuits
- Whole Grilled Snapper with Creole Sauce
- Collard, Tomato, and Cashew Stew
- Buttermilk Tea Cakes
- Speaking of recipes, this Dukkah makes an excellent last-minute gift, stored in a pretty canning jar.
- If you still have shopping to do, here are my holiday gift suggestions.
- Goodness: Lots of people had fun at Boston’s annual Santa Speedo Run. And they raised a lot of money for children in need.
About the photo: Wreaths lined up for sale at a local farmstand.
