I’m looking forward to celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day with old friends. We’ll be eating lots of great food and sharing stories and the kids will bring all of the excitement to the party.
Enjoy the longer days this weekend!
Like a record stuck on repeat, I’ve had another one of those weeks. Trouble falling asleep. Stress about the world. Exhaustion during the day. It’s affecting my productivity. I stayed up late a couple of nights reading In Five Years (Good Reads) and shed a few tears. It’s easy to do that these days.
But, the approach of spring always works its magic, doesn’t it? We had warm days this week and mountains of snow melted. On two 70 degree days, we walked to the sound of water rushing from front yards, down the streets, and into drains. Birds made spring sounds. The redwing blackbirds are back and trilling in the marshes. I see green shoots poking up in the muddy brown garden beds, signaling that it is time to get cages around the tulips before the rabbits feast on them.
The sun sets an hour later now and the sky glows with pinks and purples. It’s so very welcome.
