It’s the weekend!

We’re meeting Louis and Jorja for a leisurely lunch on the Connecticut coast tomorrow and I can’t wait. In spite of the lousy weather (we’d hoped for sunshine), we’ll have a great time together.

I hope that you are able to stay dry and warm this weekend.

It’s been a lot harder to write posts lately. I spend a good part of my awake hours worrying about our country. I fear that we are headed into very dark and dangerous times and that we may not come back from them. Given that mood, what do I write about each week?

Thankfully, I also have hope. I think it’s human nature. That hope gets me out of bed in the morning. Maybe it will give me things to write about.

When I talk with friends and family, everyone expresses these same feelings of anger, fear, and hope. We’re all feeling trapped and helpless. We’re looking for ways to have an impact and bring about change.

I am going to try to not write about this every week. That might mean that I don’t post when I cannot think about anything else.

Here’s what I have to share this weekend.

About the photo: Magnolia blossoms just starting to open on an overcast spring day.
