I’m looking forward to an outing with my friend Dee Dee this weekend and finally meeting her twin grandchildren! I am thrilled to be seeing her daughter Devin too, mother to these two beautiful babies.
Have a great weekend! Happy spring!
The temperatures plummeted this week and we’ve moved from balmy spring days to below freezing temperatures in the evening. I’ve pulled out a hat and mittens to wear on my walks. It’s my fault for putting them away in the first place. Luckily, we didn’t put away the snow shovels, risking a huge snowstorm!
In spite of the cold, signs of spring are everywhere. Tom and I recently took a walk after he finished work for the day and it was still light outside! I love when the days are longer. Flowers are starting to open, buds are on the trees, and more birds are hanging around. I see the slightest bit of yellow in the goldfinches.
The tulips started to poke their green leaves above the ground a few weeks ago and I finally noticed that the rabbits were feasting on them. I’ve been installing cages around the plants for a couple of weeks now. I’ve had to make some more, and I have scratches all over my hands as a result of shaping the cages out of cut pieces of chicken wire. The things that we do for our blooms!
