Our friends are coming to dinner tomorrow night and we’re looking forward to catching up after months of not seeing each other. I’m making a harvest dinner, with lots of goodies from the garden and local farm stands.
I accidentally published this weekend post a day early. I do not have Friday off, so the weekend isn’t starting until Friday evening.
It’s been back to back shots for us over the last few weeks and I’m happy to say that I’m done with that for a little while. (I think that there is a pneumonia vaccine in store for me later this fall.)
When I realized that we had four weeks before our first plane flight since before the pandemic began, I looked into the new Covid vaccine. I wanted a jab before I walked down the departure ramp. When I called the local pharmacy, I found out that they were ready with RSV and flu shots as well. I’ve had a Thursday night date with the pharmacist for three weeks straight, alternating arms exposed. I decided to go for one at a time, with a week between each shot. Tonight, I’m about as vaccinated as I can get!
Here’s what I have to share this weekend.
