This weekend we’re finishing up our vacation in Montreal and heading home to welcome in 2018 with friends.
I wish you a joyful and healthy 2018.
2017. What a year.
- I cannot think back on this year without thinking of all of the people impacted by natural disasters and violence. One America Appeal is taking donations to help hurricane victims.
- #MeToo. It’s just the beginning.
- What stuff was important to us in 2017? Here’s what the New York Times has to say: The Year in Stuff.
- What words mattered in 2017? Medium’s Words That Matter 2017 includes essays on this subject written by writers, politicians and other influential people.
- Here’s an interesting mix of lessons learned this year from A Cup of Jo.
A lot happened on a personal level this year.
- Our son graduated from college (summa cum laude, proud Mom says). He landed a job in New York City, got an apartment and a painting studio.
- We lost my father-in-law. We’ll miss him very much. We’re happy for the many great years we had with him.
- I started this blog.
Here’s a look at some of the “best of 2017.”
