We’re headed to Martha’s Vineyard for our first trip of the year! I cannot wait to smell the ocean air and see our beloved island.
I hope that you have a wonderful spring weekend!
Last weekend, we pulled out our lawn furniture and sat in the backyard on Friday and Saturday nights. We listened to the birds call their goodnights and watched planets and stars appear in the sky. It was so nice to be back to one of our outdoor rituals.
Tom bought a new bird seed mixture and birds arrived all weekend to give it a try. Finches, chickadees, and downy woodpeckers were immediate fans.
Hurray for all of the little things, that are actually so big.
And here are a few little things that I have to share.
- Peering Into the Future of Novels, With Trained Machines Ready — Will AI be writing the great novels of the future? (The New York Times)
- The home garden is going bigger, wilder and more dramatic — I love the idea of gardens planted with these lush, large plants. I have one blue and one yellow baptisia and they are a wonder. (The Washington Post)
- The Amanda Crossbody Bags — One of my favorite women-run businesses now has cross-body bags! (Couture Planet)
- Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies — These look yummy! (Cup of Jo)
- Zucchini and Carrot Bread — Get your vegetables in a sweet quick bread! (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
- Goodness: ‘Tree Mountain’ is a giant man-made forest and living work of art with a powerful message — This is a very cool art project with an environmental statement. (Upworthy)

Thanks for the mention! Let us know if there is anything you see you’d like – would love to gift you a bag. Best, Kathy/Couture Planet
Thank you. That is very kind of you. Happy spring!
