I’m excited that the sun is supposed to be out all weekend! Yard work is calling my name.
Have a great weekend. Happy holidays to everyone celebrating.
Some of my favorite bloggers often write about the books they read. On a regular basis, I can count on detailed book reviews from Frances of Materfamilias Writes and Sue of High Heels in the Wilderness. They read voraciously and share their thoughts about so many books. Many of their readers comment on all of the books that they have recently read. It is a veritable feast of book information. I love it.
Sometimes I worry that I’m not reading enough. How do they read so many books? I’m not keeping up. My TBR (to be read) list keeps growing and growing and I’ll never get through them.
I found this article by Pandora Sykes reassuring: “But how do you read so much?”. Her simple answer is that there are other things that she doesn’t do. She walks through the ways that she fits reading into her life and lists the things that she could be doing instead of reading. She acknowledges the importance of other things and encourages her readers to do the things that they love. The things that might take time from reading. (After I finish writing this post, I’m going to go cook something.)
