We’re going to make ourselves a nice dinner on Saturday night and that’s about the extent of our ambitions for the weekend. If I have even an ounce of energy, I might need to make bostock pastries.
I hope that you have a nice weekend!
I’d no sooner told someone that it was too soon for the Red-winged Blackbirds to arrive in our area, than the birds showed up at our feeders. I’m happy to see them. The bright red flashes of color are a welcome addition to our dreary brown backyard. Perhaps they will lift my somewhat muted spirits. I expected to be over Covid by now, but I have all of the symptoms of a bad cold and I’m tired. My sense of smell, which had slowly been returning, retreated again and I can barely smell my morning coffee. On the positive side, I don’t have a fever and I’m well past the quarantine stage. Baby steps.
Here’s what I have to share this weekend.
- Red-winged Blackbird — If you want to read about Red-winged Blackbirds and hear their calls, this is a good site. (Audubon)
- King Cake-Inspired Easy Bostock — Here’s a twist on a Mardi Gras favorite. (Joy the Baker)
- Panera Bread Launches The BAGuette During New York Fashion Week — A food company debuts a fashion item and the bags are already sold out. Nice color. (Retail Boss)
- Rihanna Handbag — Couture Planet is celebrating Rihanna on one of their very special newspaper handbags! (Couture Planet)
- Shells with Peppers, Onion, Fennel, and Chicken Apple Sausage — Here’s a flavorful dish for a weeknight dinner. (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
- Goodness: Persevering in Swampscott: Stepping Stones for Stella and Befree, LLC — What great products for people with disabilities! I hope that the company is able to find a manufacturer for the beach buggies. (Itemlive)
