I’m looking forward to a long weekend. I hope that the rain holds off long enough to squeeze in a walk with my friend Rebecca.
To all of the veterans, sending gratitude to you and your families.
Last weekend, I was excited to find a half-price sale on spring bulbs. The bulbs that I planted years ago have dwindled and I miss the profusion of daffodils and tulips each spring. On the day of the sale, the weather was warm, making me feel optimistic about still having time to plant bulbs. I bought a lot of them!
Now that we’ve turned the clocks back, I’ve been outside in the dark after work, digging and digging to get the bulbs into the ground. I’m going to try and finish the job this weekend. Then, in the cold of winter, I can anticipate the joy of seeing them in spring.
