We’re looking forward to brunch at our friends’ new home this weekend. I’m planning to catch up on things around the house too. A lot of dust settled while we were away!
Have a great weekend!
Welcome to fall! Now that it is here, I’m looking forward to cooler weather. I’ve started wearing socks this week. I put that off as long as possible, but once I put them on, I’m reminded of how cozy they feel.
As I transition from summer to fall clothing, nature transforms itself too. While the last flowers of summer bloom in people’s gardens, the leaves are already turning in our neighborhood.
Enjoy these lovely cool days.
I have a few things to share this weekend.
- My friend shared this older video of a Lion King flash mob at a Paris train station and I loved it!
- The Faces That Look Back at Us When We Come Out, Again and Again — This is such a well done interactive article. (The New York Times)
- 22 Brands To Support During Latine Heritage Month & Beyond — There are some nice options in this list. The silk scarf is lovely and the Cuban candle company intrigues me. (Refinery29)
- From Sideways to Chocolat, These 22 Food-Centric Movies Will Forever Satisfy — With the arrival of cool nights, it’s time to get cozy and watch movies, especially movies with food themes. I’d add Pig to the list. Here’s its trailer. (Camille Styles and YouTube)
- 20 “Hungry” Trees Sucking On Things They Came In Contact With — Some crazy examples of trees growing around objects in their way. (deMilked)
- 5 No-Recipe Recipes for Fall — These no-recipe recipes look so good. On the Salt and Pepper Eggplant, I’ll quote Jenny, “OMG I need to make this tonight.” (Cup of Jo)
- Corn and Bulgur Salad — There’s some chopping involved, but this salad is worth it! (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
- Goodness: Flooding destroyed a bridge in Indiana. A high school football team rebuilt it. — Another community comes together to help out. (The Washington Post)
