It looks like rain tomorrow, so it will be a good day to do some Christmas preparations and house projects. I’m hoping that Sunday will be dry and I can get outside.
Have a great weekend!
My list of things to do before the holidays is starting to grow! Somehow December is moving forward at a very fast pace and I’m dawdling. I’m looking at beautiful wildlife photographs, reading holiday recipes and blog posts instead of tackling items on my list. Just in case you have free time, here are some of the things that I’ve been occupied with.
- People’s Choice: Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021 — These photographs are so good! You can vote for your favorite if you want. (The Atlantic)
- Pantone’s Color of the Year 2022 — It’s a new blend called Very Peri! According to Pantone, it “encourages personal inventiveness and creativity.” (Pantone)
- Trapped in Ikea: snowstorm in Denmark forces dozens to bed down in store — If I’m going to be stranded by a snowstorm, Ikea is one of the spots I’d like to be. A bed and meatballs. (The Guardian)
- Floral Expert, Chelsea Fuss Shows Us How to Make a Culinary Herb and Flower Swag — Wouldn’t these herb bouquets make a nice gift? (Camille Styles)
- 15 Must-Read Food Novels to Gift Everyone on Your List — I’m looking forward to reading some of these. (Bon Appétit)
- French Country Diary 2022 Engagement Calendar — While I use my online calendar for keeping track of appointments, I love this calendar and use it to keep notes. It might be just the thing for the Francophile in your life. (Calendars.com)
- Ricotta and Mint Pesto Toasts with Pomegranate Molasses — If you are entertaining this holiday season, I suggest serving these delicious and beautiful toasts. (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
- Goodness: Chef Deon and Team Combat Holiday Hunger — This is a great story about a community coming together to feed people! (The Vineyard Gazette)
