I’m back on the mainland after three months away and looking forward to dinner with friends this weekend. I can’t wait to catch up!
Have a great weekend!
As much as I love summer, fall is such a wonderful season. I’m harvesting my sugar pumpkins and squash this weekend and there is some beautiful Swiss chard and kale left to consume. I am imagining recipes with these items in mind. Do you have any fall recipes that you are looking forward to trying?
Here are my picks for this weekend’s reading.
- No, You Do Not Need to Get Rid of Your “Laundry Chair” — I’m smiling as I share these rules for your “laundry chair.” (Apartment Therapy)
- Need a Good Closet Rummage? — I like how Sue carefully curates her clothes each season and plans outfits that will make her happy. (High Heels in the Wilderness)
- See a tightrope walker complete a high-wire walk from the Eiffel Tower — If you need a little thrill, check out Nathan Paulin doing a high-wire walk from the Eiffel Tower. (The Washington Post)
- I Miss My Lipstick — Have you missed wearing lipstick? (The New York Times)
- Say Hello to Fall With This One-Pot Spicy Vegan Corn Soup — This vegan corn soup looks delicious! I’d give it a try with some corn freshly cut from the cob right now, but the suggested frozen corn will be great when local corn isn’t available later this fall. (Camille Styles)
- Speaking of one pot dishes, I think that you’ll love this Ratatouille with Lentils. (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
- Goodness: Artist Makes the Most Amazing Animal Sculptures From Trash — It’s great that Stephanie Hongo has kept trash from landfills to make these very imaginative pieces. (Good News Network)
About the photo: An anniversary bouquet from my husband that includes many of the flowers that were in my wedding bouquet. What wonderful memories! (Donaroma’s Nursery on Martha’s Vineyard did a wonderful job assembling this bouquet.)
