We’re visiting family members in various parts of New Hampshire on Saturday and hoping that the weather will cooperate. It will be nice to see family and, hopefully, the beautiful fall foliage.
Have a wonderful fall weekend!
- Boob Check Basics — How to keep an eye (and hands) on your breasts to watch for anything unusual.
- The newest mural in town: Ruth Bader Ginsburg is larger than life on U street — I want to see this mural!
- She Speaks for France’s President. And ‘Explosions of Color’. — I enjoyed reading about Sibeth Ndiaye. Such a smart and creative woman. (I love her blue biker jacket!)
- As usual, I’m buried in books (and still fearful that the towering pile of books on my nightstand will topple over on me in the night).
- I recently listened to Mrs. Everything, the story of two sisters growing up in the 50s and 60s. It’s about not fitting in, love, rejection and family. The story carries them through the major changes in America over several decades.
- I’m currently escaping into Strange Practice, a fantasy novel about Dr. Greta Helsing, who treats London’s “undead.” In this first book in the series, a group is attacking Greta and her patients and they need to figure out who’s doing it.
- I’m perusing The Martini Cocktail, A Meditation on the World’s Greatest Drink, with Recipes. It’s got history, how to’s, equipment information and recipes. My thoughtful husband gave me the book. I will reward him with a Friday night drink.
- Playing catch up with the rest of the television watching world, my husband and I just finished watching the first two seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Mrs. Maisel was just the thing to soothe our news-ravaged psyches.
- It being apple season, I’m enjoying them in all possible ways. Here are a few of my apple recipes that you might like:
