We’re in Venice, Italy, this weekend enjoying the Biennale art exhibits, taking in the architecture, exploring the side streets and tasting the local cuisine. I’ll be sharing photos soon.
Buon weekend!
- Here’s information about La Biennale Di Venezia. The biennale goes on for months, should you have some vacation time you want to use.
- Martin Puryear, Citizen-Sculpture — I’m looking forward to seeing Puryear’s work.
- Scenes From the 2019 Venice Biennale — There is so much art to see!
- When in Venice, Eat Like a Venetian — I plan to visit a couple of these barcaros to try the small plates.
- You don’t have to go to Italy to try a barcaro. This one’s in Boston — SRV
- Join me for an Aperol Spritz!
- I’ve loaded My Brilliant Friend on my phone, so that I can listen to it on my trip. While I doubt that I will have time to listen to another book, I also have The Baron in the Trees.
- I also packed a print copy of Women in Sunlight to read while sitting on our terrace overlooking a small Venice canal.
- Visiting Carrara Marble Quarries — I’m hoping to see the famous Carrara quarries and to taste the equally famous Lardo di Colonnata.
- Goodness: The City of Milan Is Going Green with plans to plant 3 million trees and create more parks.
About the photo: Blooms on an Eastern Redbud tree at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston.
