This is my favorite gift giving post. When you purchase an item in this list, a portion of the cost is donated to an organization that helps others. I love the idea of buying something for a loved one that also benefits someone else. Tell your gift recipient that their gift helped someone in need, because that will make him or her very happy (two gifts in one).
I’m looking forward to giving some of these gifts this holiday season.
Cubcoats
These cute, cuddly animals and characters transform into soft, warm hoodies. Children can take naps with their new buddies and then wear them outside to play. They turn inside out for wearing and outside in for cuddle time pillows. From tigers to whales to super heroes, there are lots of choices.
Cubcoats partners with Baby2Baby, a charity organization that helps low-income children, ages 0-12 years. When you buy one of these adorable Cubcoats, you are helping young people in need.
ReEnergize Set
Re-energize someone you love with this gift from Thistle Farms, designed for both men and women. The gift set includes Eucalyptus Mint Body Wash, Bath Soak, Shave Gel, and Tea Tree Mint Lip Balm. It’s blended with invigorating mint-based essential oils and natural ingredients.
Thistle Farms uses your purchase to provide support to women who are survivors of trafficking, prostitution and addiction. Women are offered safe housing, economic opportunities, counseling and more.
Charity Pot Body Lotion
Lush Cosmetics is known for its Charity Pot Body Lotion. Scented with ylang ylang and rosewood oils, the cocoa butter lotion softens and lightly scents your skin.
One hundred percent of the purchase price, minus taxes, is donated to grassroots organizations working in the areas of environmental conservation, animal welfare and human rights.
B.A.R.E. SOAPS Sampler Soap Pack
Make someone happy with a sampler size collection of these natural soaps made from sustainably sourced ingredients.
When you purchase a B.A.R.E. Soaps product, 20% of the proceeds are invested in economic development. You might be helping distribute vitamins and soap to people in need, providing jobs to women throughout the world or educating people in healthy hygiene practices.
Sweet Home Gift Goodies
Dancing Deer’s delicious cookies and brownies will make anyone’s day. This New England baking company has been serving up delicious confections for years. When you buy one of their Sweet Home gifts, you help support the company’s Sweet Home Project, which works to help end family homelessness in Massachusetts.
Paw Print Fleece Slipper Booties
These adorable slipper booties will keep someone’s feet cozy this winter and feed 35 shelter animals. Sold by The Animal Rescue Site, the booties come in a large selection of designs and colors. They have a special traction sole to prevent slipping.
Santorini Silk and Cotton Scarf
When you purchase one of these beautiful scarves from Bloom&Give, you help them in their mission to educate girls in India. Each program they support targets a specific obstacle in a community that prevents girls from going to school.
This beautiful scarf was made using a traditional block-printing process, using non-toxic dyes.
Coated Canvas Backpack
This smart and stylish backpack, from the Brooklyn-based company STATE, has two large compartments with plenty of room. A bottom compartment will hold shoes up to size 13. The laptop sleeve will hold a 15-inch laptop. There’s room for lunch, clothes, two water bottles (one on each side) and more. We’d all be proud to carry our supplies to and from the office in this pack.
When you buy a backpack, STATE hand-delivers a backpack, filled with essential school supplies, to a local child in need.
You could also gift a smaller sized backpack, a leather backpack or one of their other products.
