Shades of pink, such as dusty rose and blush, have been popular for a while and I couldn’t be happier. I was one of those kids who had a flowery pink wallpaper on the walls of my room. I have been embracing pink with a passion over the last year. This dusty rose pleated skirt is a favorite.
The skirt is from Ann Taylor last season and no longer available. I love its light crepe fabric, which floats a little in the breeze (as you can see from the photo). The material has an elegant feel.
Here are some similar skirts: pink pleats from ASOS, dusty pink pleated midi from H&M, and a pale blush pleated midi skirt from Nordstrom.
I topped off the outfit with an Ann Taylor crepe shell from a past season. I have this shell in cream, navy, black and lavender. It is so versatile. The lavender is still available on final sale. Shell tops are a standard offering from Ann Taylor and they will probably have a similar top in stock again. Here are some lovely Ann Taylor variations on the shell: texture stitch shell, dot pleated shell and side ruched shell. This color block shell is gorgeous and looks like it would be very figure flattering with its vertical lines.
The dusty rose pearl necklace is another Ann Taylor offering from several seasons ago. I often wear this necklace in the winter, but it goes nicely with the skirt.
I’m wearing Persol sunglasses and, because I had to do a lot of walking, a practical pair of Vince Camuto black suede shoes with a gold trimmed heel (previous season).
Ann Taylor has some other good looking pleated skirts including this block print pleated skirt, or this faux leather pleated skirt, which they call oak colored. It looks like cream in the photo.
