In June we visited Wave Hill Public Gardens, a 28-acre estate in The Bronx, New York City. This lovely oasis is a wonderful escape on a hot summer day (it was technically late spring, but the heat was pure summer). Wave Hill is lush with flowers, lawns, waterways and woodlands. This week we have mid-summer temperatures. On Tuesday I took advantage of the weather to head to the beach. It was gorgeous and uncrowded. Beach parking was available and the water was still warm (by New England standards).
