It’s the weekend!

Daffodils, It's the weekend number 43

This first weekend of spring we are gathering in North Carolina to celebrate my brother-in-law’s life.

I hope that your loved ones are close to you this weekend and that you have the chance to give them lots of hugs.

  • Thanks to the students and everyone else attending March for Our Lives tomorrow. If you are interested in marching, you can find a march near you here.
  • Tony (my brother-in-law) loved to make bread and was famous for his garlic knots. He used a NutriMill, similar to this model, to grind the wheat berries he used to make the bread dough.
  • This is a really nice article about dealing with loss and grief.
  • Watch this trailer for the Mr. Rogers documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor? You might find yourself watching it twice. “The greatest thing that we can do is to help somebody know that they’re loved and capable of loving.”
  • Runninghour trains new volunteers so they can help the visually impaired or intellectually challenged on the runs.
  • 16 First Day Of Spring Instagram Captions That Will Give You All The Flowery Feels.
  • The New York Times is correcting years of focusing on men in the newspaper’s obituaries. In its Overlooked series, the NYT will publish the obituaries of women, “…who left indelible marks but were nonetheless overlooked.”
  • What Can We Learn From Teenagers?
