I’m looking forward to catching up with friends over dinner this weekend and spending time outside as temperatures rise.
Enjoy a sunny March weekend!
Starting the week with the news that we were at war in the Middle East wasn’t good for sound sleeping and peace of mind. I’m tired and stressed. I’m thinking about the families who lost loved ones (here and in the Middle East) and I’m worrying about the world we are leaving for our children. I wish that I could say something positive here, but I’m short on good ways to spin this.
I stayed up late several nights this week and escaped reality by reading The Outcast Dead, one of the books in the very entertaining Ruth Galloway series by Ellie Griffiths.
Here’s what I have to share this weekend.
- A Colorful Wedding With Lots and Lots of Dancing — What a colorful and festive occasion! (Cup of Jo)
- The Kiss That Stopped Traffic — She’s committed to living solo on the road. (The New York Times)
- The Baker’s Secret for Cakes that Never Stick — A tip for bakers who, like me, didn’t know about this magic pan cake release trick. (Joy the Baker)
- Ribollita Soup — This soup is so satisfying and endlessly changeable. (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
- Goodness: Wise woman turning 70 shares her one ‘big’ piece of advice for millennials turning 30 — It might seem obvious, but it could be a relief to be reminded that our mistakes are not the focus of other peoples’ lives. (Upworthy)
