It’s the weekend!

It's the weekend! Number 378, December Moon Rising Behind Tree Branches

We’ll be spending this weekend’s chilly evenings in front of the fireplace. I’m going to take care of some pre-holiday house cleaning, as I’m excitedly anticipating the approaching festivities.

I hope that you enjoy this first weekend of December!

Last week we had a wonderful Thanksgiving gathering with family, a long visit with our son, and a delightful evening in front of the fire with two of my sisters. Those days left me feeling very fortunate and ready for more holidays.

With Thanksgiving on the late side this year, it was time to start decorating for Christmas. A wreath is on the door, candles light the windows at night, and fairy lights adorn our lamppost. I sourced supplies from our yard to make a small swag of pine, winterberries, and a large pinecone to top the lamppost fairy lights. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
