This weekend, I’m looking forward to revisiting the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum to see the Manet exhibit that we missed last month.
Have a nice weekend!
I’m really feeling winter these days and thinking about hibernation a lot. I’m staying under the flannel covers longer in the mornings, wearing extra layers, and turning up the heat during the day. I’ve had a bit of a forced break from my daily walks and it has contributed to my tendency towards lethargy. Luckily, I have some indoor projects to keep me from becoming too dormant.
I have a few things to share this weekend.
- A New Year’s Journaling Challenge — A reminder to keep an eye out for the magic moments. (The Isolation Journals, Substack)
- 30 Books We Can’t Wait to Read in 2025 — More book recommendations, should you need them. (Vulture)
- These LA Restaurants Are Offering Free Food for Fire Evacuees and First Responders — Thankful for those feeding people during the wildfires disaster!
- Potato Leek Soup — Here’s a warm soup for these cold winter days. The potato skin topping looks so good! (Smitten Kitchen)
- Pimento Cheese — The next you have company, serve some of this delicious spread. (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
- Goodness: Genius UK Business Uses Christmas Trees to Protect the Region From Flooding — I love the idea of renting live trees that continue to grow and then are planted as flood protection when they are too tall for tree rental. (Good News Network)
