It’s the weekend!

It's the weekend! Number 351, Moon Rising Over Katama Bay on Martha's Vineyard

I’m looking forward to a birthday dinner celebration for my sister Lizzy this weekend. I also hope to finish yard projects, because it is getting very cold out there!

Enjoy your weekend!

I haven’t sorted myself out after last week’s election, turning the clocks back (with its accompanying early darkness), and the onset of cold weather. Thank goodness for comforting warm beverages, books, and good friends and neighbors. While on the Vineyard, we had a couple of friendly conversations with local residents. I am pretty sure that our politics are different, but we didn’t talk about politics. We talked about Greece, fishing, house projects, the deer eating our plants, the turkeys that are rapidly multiplying, and other topics that we could all relate to. It’s good to be reminded that we have a lot of things in common with our neighbors.

Here’s what I have to share this weekend.

  1. Thanks for the mention! Have a lovely weekend! (I’m book-marking that Pear Crisp for when I get back home—becoming slightly impatient to be back in my own kitchen now. Your time away was long as well—you’ll know what I mean…

    1. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. It looks like an incredible experience. When you get back to your kitchen, have a wonderful time cooking.
