I’m looking forward to spending the weekend on the Connecticut shore, visiting with Louis and Jorja. We’ll take long walks on the beach, cook meals together, and try a new restaurant.
Take care of yourselves this weekend.
I’m posting early, because I’m heading to CT tomorrow morning, stopping outside of Hartford to have lunch with my sister-in-law and a family friend. Then we’ll head to New Haven where we’ve rented a house on the shore for two days. It looks like the weather will be chilly, so I’ve packed warm socks, a winter coat, hat, and gloves. I don’t plan on letting the cold keep me off the beach.
Here’s what I have to share this weekend, along with warm wishes.
- Seven Ways to Love Better — Nice messages. Be in the moment and always lead with empathy. I need to set a reminder to reread the article from time to time. (The New York Times)
- Squash Tart with Herby Ricotta — This tart sounds delicious. I like that it can be modified for the seasons. (Cup of Jo)
- The Day After Halloween — Sue reminds us of the letdown of the next day, made a little easier by the anticipation of the next exciting event. (High Heels in the Wilderness)
- Goodness: Truth and Love — Barbara Kingsolver’s message on November 6, 2024. (Sea Salt and Sailor Stripes)
