It’s the weekend!

It's the weekend! Number 342, Fishing Bobber on a Spectacle Island Beach

I’m looking forward to catching some breezes this weekend after days of decluttering closets and dripping in the July humidity. Here’s to some fresh air!

Enjoy your weekend!

I’m playing catch up on books. I’ve just finished reading Demon Copperhead (IndieBound), the book that everyone was talking about last year. I couldn’t put it down. I’ve been reliving Demon’s story since I finished a few days ago. Barbara Kingsolver worked her story telling magic once again.

Tom told me that Ruth Reichl had a new book called The Paris Novel (IndieBound). Ooh, she has a novel! I was online checking it out before he finished telling me about it. I quickly learned that it wasn’t her first novel. Talk about playing catch up! I’ve been hoarding Save Me the Plums (IndieBound) so that I don’t run out of her books. Now I have two novels to read. There can be benefits to being behind on things — discovering new books by a favorite author.

Here’s what I have to share this weekend.
